A review by the province’s Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch (GPEB) has
determined that former BC Lottery Corporation chief executive officer Michael Graydon does
not presently need to be registered as a gaming worker in his new role as CEO of PV Hospitality.
Provincial legislation requires all gaming service providers to ensure that all gaming workers are registered by GPEB.
However, the review has found that neither Graydon nor his new employer are presently
providing gaming services in British Columbia as defined by the Gaming Control Act, and
therefore they do not need to be registered at this time.
The review was launched last February following Graydon’s decision to step down as BC Lottery Corporation CEO and go to work for PV Hospitality.
GPEB has communicated the results of the review to PV Hospitality’s parent company, Paragon Gaming Inc. and to Graydon, and requires them to report any changes in Graydon’s role immediately.
