The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a male who died following a motor vehicle incident near Purden Lake on Jan. 2, 2014.
He was Allan Wayne Miller, aged 65, of McBride.
Mr. Miller was the driver of a pickup truck, which collided with a Super-B train tractor-trailer on Highway 16 east of Purden Lake, in the early afternoon of Jan. 2. Purden Lake is about 60 kilometres east of Prince George. Mr. Miller was deceased at the scene.
The BC Coroners Service and RCMP continue to investigate this death.
The family of Mr. Miller has been notified of his death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
