The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a woman who died following a house fire in Osoyoos on Jan. 17, 2014.

She was Deleyne Hunter, aged 52, of Osoyoos.

Ms. Hunter was injured in a fire at her residence on 92nd Ave. in Osoyoos on the morning of Jan. 17, 2014. She was transported to Vancouver General Hospital for specialized treatment, but succumbed to her injuries there the next day.

The BC Coroners Service, RCMP and Osoyoos fire department continue to investigate this death.

The family of Ms. Hunter has been notified of her death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
