The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who died in a motor vehicle incident near Crofton on Jan. 24, 2014.

He was Kyle Jonathan Adams, aged 25, of Duncan.

Mr. Adams was the driver of a car that was travelling on Osborne Bay Road in the early morning hours of Jan. 24 when, about two kilometres south of Crofton, the car went out of control, left the road and struck a large tree. Mr. Adams was deceased at the scene.

The BC Coroners Service and RCMP Traffic Services continue to investigate this death.

The family of Mr. Adams has been notified of his death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
