The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a male who died following a motor vehicle incident near Fraser Lake on Jan. 17, 2014.

He was Duane Francis Pearson, aged 46, most recently of 100 Mile House.

Mr. Pearson was the driver of an SUV which collided with a pickup truck on Highway 16 about 10 km east of Fraser Lake, a small community about 155 km west of Prince George, about 8:30 pm on Jan. 17, 2014. Mr. Pearson was deceased at the scene.

The BC Coroners Service and RCMP continue to investigate this death.

The family of Mr. Pearson has been notified of his death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
