The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who died following a motor vehicle incident in the Victoria suburb of Central Saanich on Feb. 10, 2014.

He was Brian Phillip Cunningham, aged 65, of Sidney.

Mr. Cunningham was the driver of a pickup truck that was travelling south on the Patricia Bay Highway (Highway 17) about 9:15 a.m. on Feb. 10, 2014, when, near Island View Road, it was in a collision with a northbound pickup truck. Mr. Cunningham died at the scene.

The BC Coroners Service and Central Saanich Police continue to investigate this death.

The family of Mr. Cunningham has been notified of his death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
