The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a woman who died after being struck by a vehicle in Victoria on Feb. 13, 2014.

She was Meesha-Chan Grubisic, aged 47, from Victoria.

Ms. Grubisic was struck by a southbound vehicle while on the roadway in the 1200 block of Goldstream Avenue about 8:20 a.m. on Feb. 13. She was transported by ambulance to Victoria General Hospital, but was pronounced dead shortly after her arrival at hospital.

The Coroners Service and Westshore RCMP continue to investigate this incident.

The family of Ms. Grubisic has been notified of her death. On behalf of family members, the Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
