The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a woman who died following a motor vehicle incident in Victoria on Feb. 23, 2014.

She was Amandip Kaur Sidhu, aged 20, of Victoria.

Ms. Sidhu was a passenger in a car that was travelling south on Blanshard Street in Victoria shortly after midnight on Feb. 23 when, at Bay Street, the car collided with a pole. Ms. Sidhu died at the scene.

The BC Coroners Service and Victoria Police Traffic Services continue to investigate this death.

The family of Ms. Sidhu has been notified of her death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
