The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a woman who died in a motor vehicle incident near Hope on March 2, 2014.

She was Beatrice Mary Morris, aged 71, of Smithers.

Ms. Morris was a rear-seat passenger in a car that was involved in a multi-vehicle crash on Highway 1 just west of Hope shortly after 2 p.m. on March 2. Ms. Morris was deceased at the scene.

The BC Coroners Service and RCMP continue to investigate this incident.

The family of Ms. Morris has been notified of her death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
