The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a woman who died after a motor vehicle incident in Trail on March 25, 2014.

She was Maria Sodini, aged 79, of Trail.  

Ms. Sodini was the front-seat passenger in a vehicle which was in collision with a pickup truck at the intersection of 2nd and Bailey in Trail about 6 pm on March 25, 2014. She was taken immediately to Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital but died there of her injuries the next day.

The BC Coroners Service and RCMP Traffic Services continue to investigate this death.

The family of Ms. Sodini has been notified of her death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
