The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a male who was found deceased in Kamloops on April 8, 2014.

He was Alexander McIntosh, aged 87, of Kamloops.

Mr. McIntosh had been reported missing to the RCMP by family on August 19, 2013. He was found in a field off Mission Flats Road in Kamloops on the morning of April 8, 2014.

The BC Coroners Service continues to investigate this death. Foul play has now been ruled out.

The family of Mr. McIntosh has been notified of his death. On behalf of the family, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
