The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a youth who died after a motor vehicle incident in Lake Country on May 4, 2014.

He is Rodney Michael Boring, aged 14, of Vernon.

Rodney was a passenger in car which was involved in a collision with a full-sized pickup truck on Highway 97 near Crystal Waters Road about 3:45 pm on May 4, 2014. Rodney was deceased at the scene of the collision.

The BC Coroners Service and RCMP Traffic Services continue to investigate this death.

Rodney’s family has been notified of his death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
