The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a male and a female who died following a motor vehicle incident at Kwitzil Lake near Prince George on May 18, 2014.
The male is Craig Allan Wood, aged 19, and the female is Kendall Gabriella Moore, aged 17, both from Prince George.
Mr. Wood and Ms. Moore were the occupants of an SUV which became submerged in Kwitzil Lake, also known locally as Gravel Pit Lake, a small lake about 40 km west of Prince George, about 4 a.m. on May 18, 2014. Both were deceased at the scene.
The BC Coroners Service and Prince George Serious Crimes RCMP continue to investigate this death.
The families of both victims have been notified of their deaths. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
