The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who died in a motorcycle incident near Osoyoos on May 19, 2014.

The man was Stanley William Beaton, aged 55, from Osoyoos.

Mr. Beaton was riding a motorcycle west along the Highway 3 near Osoyoos when the incident occurred.

Emergency personnel attended the scene and confirmed Mr. Beaton deceased. No other vehicles or persons were involved in the incident.

The BC Coroners Service continues to investigate the death of Mr. Beaton.

The family of Mr. Beaton has been notified of his death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
