Father’s Day is just around the corner and BC Liquor Stores are offering customers a unique opportunity to splurge on some highly collectible, rare, single malt Scotch whiskies.

Each single-cask whisky from the Dalmore Constellation Collection is bottled at natural cask strength to ensure the character of the whisky is not diluted. The end result is an exceptional whisky, rich in flavour and aroma.

Bottled in hand-blown, crystal decanters and presented in custom-made, lacquered cases adorned with solid silver Dalmore stag emblems, these Scotch bottles span three decades, encompassing the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s, and range from $4,500 to $25,000 each.

Bottles from the Dalmore Constellation Collection now are on display at BC Liquor Stores’ locations at Park Royal and 39th and Cambie. The Park Royal location features whiskies from the 1980s and 1990s, while the Cambie location has bottles from all three decades. Only 10 bottles are available, so customers are advised to shop early to avoid disappointment. Bottles will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis.

For those who want to take dad out for the day, the BC Signature Liquor Store at 39th & Cambie will host a Shackleton Whisky tasting on Saturday, June 14 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Customers can try this historic whisky and learn about Sir Ernest Shackleton’s 1907 Antarctic expedition.

As an added bonus, a copy of Neville Peat’s book, Shackleton’s Whisky, will be available as a gift with purchase. This book details the explorer’s adventure and the rare Scotch whisky discovered and replicated from his voyage.

BC Liquor Stores have a wide selection of dad-friendly products available to suit a wide range of tastes and budgets this Father’s Day. Several other fine Scotch products are being featured for Father’s Day, including three popular single malts — Glenfiddich 12-year-old, Oban 14-year-old and McClelland’s Islay - as well as two American whiskies — Basil Hayden’s eight-year-old Kentucky Bourbon and Jack Daniel’s Gentleman Jack Rare Tennessee Whiskey.

Quick Facts:
