The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a male who died following a farming accident at a vineyard near Kelowna on June 6, 2014.
He was Herbert Roy Teather, aged 79, of Kelowna.
Mr. Teather was operating a tractor with an industrial mower attached, mowing grass between rows of plants in the vineyard on the morning of June 6. In the late morning hours, he was caught by the blades within the mower attachment. He was deceased at the scene.
The BC Coroners Service and the RCMP continue to investigate this death.
The family of Mr. Teather has been notified of his death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
