KELOWNA - The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a youth who died following an incident at Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops on June 15, 2014.

He is Jacob George Setah, aged 18, of Hanceville, a small community about 90 km west of Williams Lake.

On the evening of June 15, 2014, Mr. Setah was seriously injured at the hospital’s parking structure. He received emergency medical treatment inside the hospital but died of his injuries a few hours later.

The BC Coroners Service and the Independent Investigations Office (IIO) continue to investigate this death.

The family of Mr. Setah has been notified of his death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
