The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who died following a townhouse fire in Maple Ridge on June 19, 2014.

He is Craig Peter Philip Davey, aged 37, of Maple Ridge.

Shortly after 11 p.m. on June 19, 2014, neighbours noted a fire in Mr. Davey’s townhouse on 207A Street in Maple Ridge and immediately called 911. The Maple Ridge fire department attended. When they had been able to extinguish the fire, Mr. Davey was found inside, deceased.

The BC Coroners Service, RCMP and fire investigators continue to investigate this death.

The family of Mr. Davey has been notified of his death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
