The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a woman who died after a motor vehicle incident in Peachland on June 26, 2014.

She is Barbara Lynn Garrett, aged 69, of Penticton.  

Ms. Garrett was the driver and sole occupant of a car which was in collision with a semi-trailer on Highway 97 South about 300 metres south of Trepanier Bench Road in Peachland shortly after noon on June 26, 2014. Ms. Garrett was deceased at the scene of the collision.

The BC Coroners Service and RCMP Traffic Services continue to investigate this death.

The family of Ms. Garrett has been notified of her death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
