The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who died after a motor vehicle incident near Winlaw on June 23, 2014.

He was Donald James Clark, aged 62, of Winlaw.  

Mr. Clark was the driver and sole occupant of a pickup truck which was heading southbound on Slocan River Road about 3:30 p.m. on June 23 when it left the road, rolled and ended up in the Slocan River. Mr. Clark was deceased at the scene of the incident.

The BC Coroners Service and RCMP continue to investigate this death.

The family of Mr. Clark has been notified of his death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
