The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who died after a motor vehicle incident near Crescent Valley on July 7, 2014.

He was Jesse Edward Van Skiver Bachner, aged 28, of Crescent Valley.  

Mr. Bachner was the driver and sole occupant of a pickup truck which was involved in an single-vehicle incident on Highway 6 about five kilometres north of Crescent Valley about 6:30 p.m. on July 7. Mr. Bachner was deceased at the scene of the incident.

The BC Coroners Service and RCMP continue to investigate this death.

The family of Mr. Bachner has been notified of his death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
