The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a woman who died after a motor vehicle incident near Golden on June 24, 2014.

She is Margaret Rose Pennock, aged 77, of Kelowna.

Ms. Pennock was the front-seat passenger in a westbound car which was in collision with an eastbound pickup truck on the Trans Canada Highway 27 kilometres east of Golden on the morning of June 24, 2014. Ms. Pennock was deceased at the scene of the collision.

The BC Coroners Service and RCMP Traffic Services continue to investigate this death.

The family of Ms. Pennock has been notified of her death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
