The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who died after a motor vehicle incident near Pritchard on July 17, 2014.

He was John Findlay Linklater, aged 58, of Chase.  

Mr. Linklater was the driver and sole occupant of a pickup truck, which was heading eastbound on Highway 1 just after midnight on July 17, when about two kilometres west of Pritchard, it was involved in a head-on collision with a semi-trailer. Mr. Linklater was deceased at the scene of the incident.

The BC Coroners Service and RCMP continue to investigate this death.

The family of Mr. Linklater has been notified of his death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
