The BC Coroners Service has announced new dates for the public inquest into the death of Bradley Michael Thomas Haslam.
The inquest now will commence on Oct. 20, 2014, at the Vernon Courthouse.
Mr. Haslam, aged 18, of Lumby, died on June 15, 2013, as a result of a workplace incident at a planer mill in Lavington, a small community in the North Okanagan.
Presiding coroner, T.E. Chico Newell, and a jury will hear evidence from witnesses under oath to determine the facts surrounding this death. The jury will have the opportunity to make recommendations aimed at preventing deaths under similar circumstances.
An inquest is a formal process that allows for public presentation of evidence relating to a death.
