The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who died in a boating incident near Prince George on July 17, 2014.
He was Kyle Kromm, aged 29, from Prince George.
On the afternoon of July 17, Mr. Kromm failed to resurface while in the water of Ness Lake, about 35 kilometres northwest of Prince George. He had been boating on the lake with two other people. A search at the time proved unsuccessful.
On the afternoon of July 29, the private search company, Ralston & Associates, from Idaho, was able to locate Mr. Kromm in about 13 metres of water about 150 metres from the shoreline. The RCMP Underwater Recovery Team was then able to complete the recovery.
The BC Coroners Service is continuing to investigate this death.
On behalf of the family, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
