The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a female who died after going into medical distress at the Boonstock Music Festival.
She was Lynn Lorraine Tolocka, aged 23, of Leduc, Alberta, a community 35 kilometres south of Edmonton.
Ms. Tolocka was found in medical distress at the Boonstock Music Festival in Penticton on the evening of Aug. 1, 2014. She was treated at the scene and then transported to hospital in Penticton, but she could not be resuscitated.
The BC Coroners Service and RCMP continue to investigate this death. Foul play has now been ruled out.
The family of Ms. Tolocka has been notified of her death. On behalf of the family, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
