The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a woman who died after being struck by a vehicle near Parksville on Aug. 18, 2014.

She was Tiffany Angel Phillips, aged 35, from Port Alberni.

Ms. Phillips was struck by a northbound tractor-trailer unit while on the roadway of Highway 19 between Parksville and Qualicum at about 4:45 p.m. on Aug. 18. She was deceased at the scene.

The Coroners Service and RCMP Traffic Services continue to investigate this incident.

The family of Ms. Phillips has been notified of her death. On behalf of family members, the Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
