The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who died after a motor vehicle incident near Salmo on Aug. 29, 2014.
He is William Richard Wells, aged 57, of Medicine Hat, Alberta.
Mr. Wells was the operator of a westbound motorcycle which went out of control and entered a ditch on Highway 3 about four kilometres west of the top of the Salmo-Creston Pass during the afternoon of Aug. 29, 2014. Mr. Wells was deceased at the scene.
The BC Coroners Service and RCMP Traffic Services continue to investigate this death.
Mr. Wells’s family has been notified of his death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
