The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identities of four people who died following a motor vehicle collision near Wonowon on Sept. 4, 2014.
They are David Christopher Newbold, aged 28, of Fort St. John; Jenna Rene Bloy, aged 22, of Grande Cache, Alta.; Kenneth Reed, aged 72 and Cheryl Reed, aged 65, both of Balgonie, Sask.
Mr. Newbold was the driver of a flatdeck pickup truck in which Ms. Bloy was a passenger that was travelling southbound on the Alaska Hwy at 2:30 p.m. on Sept. 4, 2014. At Mile 83 the flatdeck truck was involved in a head on collision with a northbound pickup truck that was being driven by Mrs. Reed and in which Mr. Reed was a passenger. All four persons were deceased at the scene.
The BC Coroners Service and RCMP Traffic Services continue to investigate this death.
The respective families of the deceased have been notified of the deaths. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
