The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who was discovered deceased in a local park in West Kelowna on Sept. 10, 2014.

The man is Ryan David Quigley, aged 30, originally from Newfoundland but residing in West Kelowna.

Mr. Quigley was discovered in the Gellatly Dog Park in the early hours of Sept. 10, 2014.

Evidence at the scene clearly indicated that Mr. Quigley’s death was a suicide.

The death of Mr. Quigley is not considered to be suspicious in nature and will be investigated by The BC Coroners Service, with assistance from the RCMP.

The family of Mr. Quigley has been notified of his death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
