The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who died after a motor vehicle incident in Burnaby on Sept. 15, 2014.
He is Amrik Singh Gill, aged 59, of Delta.
On the evening of Sept. 15, 2014, Mr. Gill was working as a security guard at a site in Burnaby which was being set up for a film shoot the next day. An unattended truck rolled backwards and struck him. Mr. Gill was immediately rushed to Royal Columbian Hospital in New Westminster, but succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival at hospital.
The BC Coroners Service, WorkSafeBC, and RCMP continue to investigate this death.
Mr. Gill’s’s family has been notified of his death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
