The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a female who died following a motor vehicle incident near Terrace on Sept. 25, 2014.

She is Mercedes Tatiana McNeil, aged 18, of Terrace.

Ms. McNeil was the driver of a westbound car which was involved in a head-on collision with a pickup truck on Highway 16 about 23 km east of the intersection of Highways 16 and 37 in the late morning hours of Sept. 25, 2014. Ms. McNeil was deceased at the scene.

The BC Coroners Service and RCMP Traffic Services continue to investigate this death.

The family of Ms. McNeil has been notified of her death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
