The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identities of two men who died following a motor vehicle incident near Hudson’s Hope on Oct. 27, 2014.  

They were Nicolae Ghidu-Bors, aged 27, and John Toma, aged 47, both of Calgary, Alberta.  

Mr. Ghidu-Bors was the driver of, and Mr. Toma a front-seat passenger in an SUV that was heading eastbound on Highway 29 about 8:40 p.m. on Oct. 27. Northeast of Hudson’s Hope, the vehicle went out of control and rolled. Both men were deceased at the scene.

The BC Coroners Service and RCMP Traffic Services continue to investigate these deaths.

The families of the victims have been notified of these deaths. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
