The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a youth who died after a snowmobile incident near Enderby on Dec. 28, 2014.
He was Brandon Edward Ouellette, aged 16, from Salmon Arm.
Brandon was operating a snowmobile at the Hunters Range snowmobile area northeast of Enderby at about 10:30 a.m. on Dec. 28, 2014, when his snowmobile overturned. The incident was unwitnessed, but he was found by a family member a few minutes later.
A search-and-rescue helicopter with medical personnel on board was deployed, but Brandon died before reaching hospital.
The BC Coroners Service and RCMP continue to investigate this death.
Brandon’s family has been notified of his death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
