Approximately 700 investment opportunities now are listed on the OpportunitiesBC online database, a free, searchable tool that features business opportunities in British Columbia.
The database was launched in 2012 in response to trade and investment representatives and international investors seeking information about opportunities available in the province. OpportunitiesBC provides a one-stop location to search for businesses and projects around British Columbia. Searches can range from locating small businesses and large parcels of industrial land for sale to entrepreneurs seeking investment partners.
OpportunitiesBC links users to community profiles, where potential investors and immigrants can access detailed information and can compare B.C.’s communities based on demographics, labour force, housing and transportation statistics.
In 2013, there were 150,000 page views and significant traffic from India, China and the United States.
