Minister Responsible for Multiculturalism Teresa Wat will be in Vancouver and Kelowna on January 12 and 14 respectively to host community forums as part of the provincial government's commitment to issue a meaningful apology to B.C.'s Chinese community for historical wrongs.
Wat will engage with Chinese community associations and citizens to identify the wording, delivery and legacy efforts for a formal apology. A total of seven forums are being held throughout the province and all British Columbians are encouraged to attend or to provide feedback if they cannot attend in-person.
