VICTORIA - Minister Responsible for Multiculturalism Teresa Wat will be in Burnaby and Richmond on Jan. 20 and 27 respectively to host community forums as part of the provincial government's commitment to issue a meaningful apology to B.C.'s Chinese community for historical wrongs. Originally scheduled for Jan. 28, the Richmond event now will be held on Jan. 27.

A total of seven forums are being held throughout the province and all British Columbians are encouraged to attend or to provide feedback if they cannot attend in-person.

If you are interested in providing feedback, but are not able to attend any consultation events, feedback can be sent directly to: apology.consultation@gov.bc.ca

Government will use the feedback from those affected to form an appropriate apology that all members of the legislature can support.
