VANCOUVER - Premier Christy Clark made the following statement on the mudslide in Snohomish County, Washington:

"Like most British Columbians, I was saddened to hear about the fatal mudslide in Snohomish County. Washington and British Columbia are more than just neighbours - we are trading partners, and we are friends. 

“The Government of British Columbia has extended an offer to help with search and rescue operations, and will continue to monitor the situation. British Columbia stands ready to assist in any way we can. 

“My thoughts and prayers are with the victims, their families, and those left homeless.”
