Premier Christy Clark has issued the following Christmas statement:

“This Christmas, in every community large and small across British Columbia, homes will be filled with the warmth and giving spirit of this very special holiday.

“For many of us, Christmas has an important spiritual meaning. For all of us, the holidays are a chance to spend time with those we love.

“Let’s not forget those of our neighbours for whom Christmas is a less happy time. I hope you’ll take this opportunity to give time or money to a charitable organization in your community.

“Now, as always, let us be grateful for the prosperity and safety we enjoy in B.C. - and resolve to make that true for every one of our citizens.

“Hamish and I wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas and a happy new year.”
