Worley Parsons Canada Ltd. has won the Deputy Minister's Consulting Engineers Award for Excellence in Transit Engineering Services, for its exceptional work on the SeaBus Facility Rehabilitation project.
This complex project, which included the north and south terminals and maintenance facility, required working on aging marine infrastructure at an operating transit facility, while maintaining customer safety and service scheduling.
Worley Parsons was able to complete most of the design work in-house through its multi-disciplinary design team, which helped facilitate a co-ordinated and efficient effort during both the design and construction phases.
The Deputy Minister's Consulting Engineers Awards recognize technical excellence in consulting engineer services that improve transportation infrastructure in B.C. The 10th annual awards were held Jan. 28 in Vancouver.
Finalists were chosen for projects completed in 2013 in the following categories:
- Design and Contract Preparation - Roads
