On Tuesday, June 17, 2014, there was an equipment failure on the Evergreen Line truss. The truss is a machine that helps build the elevated guideway for the Evergreen Line.

As a result of the incident, North Road was temporarily closed to the public to reposition a beam on the truss. This was done successfully and the road was reopened last night.

Construction on the Evergreen Line elevated guideway on North Road will resume once an investigation is complete.

No one was injured during the incident and there was no damage to the Evergreen Line guideway or columns, or other property.

This will not affect the construction schedule for the Evergreen Line, which will open in summer 2016.
