The fourth annual Ryder Hesjedal Tour de Victoria bike ride takes place on Sunday, Aug. 24, from 7 a.m. to 3:45 p.m., with an anticipated 1,500 cyclists riding through Victoria, Westshore and the Saanich Peninsula.

Drivers can expect moderate delays of up to 20 minutes between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the Pat Bay Highway (Highway 17) and Sayward Road. Motorists are advised to allow additional time to arrive at their destinations, and to adjust travel plans where possible.

Drivers can also expect minor delays and traffic pattern changes at:

• Highway 14 and Happy Valley Road
• Veterans Memorial Parkway and Goldstream Avenue

Please exercise caution, obey posted speeds and event signs, and watch for traffic-control personnel.
