Motorists are advised that a lane closure is now in effect on Highway 99 at the Bridgeport off-ramp due to a culvert collapse earlier this morning.
The area around the collapse is safely cordoned off and northbound traffic is now reduced to a single lane until further notice. Ministry staff are working to safely restore two-lane traffic northbound.
Ministry engineers are on site conducting an assessment. The cause of the culvert failure has yet to be determined.
Traffic control signs have been updated to inform the public about the lane closure and potential alternate routes.
