Applications are now being accepted for several project assistance funding programs offered by the BC Arts Council.
- Community Arts Development – awards provide assistance to non-profit community arts and cultural organizations to deliver a specific project or to assist with the organization’s production activities.
- Media Arts Organizations – project assistance supports development of new or unique public programs and documentation by professional media artists, organizations and collectives that increase services to the community or facilitate new forms of expression.
- Museums and Visual Arts Organizations – supports initiatives that develop new or unique public programs and documentation by professional museums, Aboriginal cultural centres and visual arts organizations, including artists’ and curatorial collectives. Projects may include exhibitions, dissemination, artists’ residencies, exploration of new forms, audience development or collections management.
- Professional Arts Festivals – project assistance contributes to the development and creation of new or unique public programs. Awards are intended to encourage specific art forms or practices, increase the availability of professional arts to the community, and build the artistic capacity of festivals.

The BC Arts Council is the Government of British Columbia's lead agency for arts funding and development. All BC Arts Council grants are awarded through a peer assessment process that relies on the knowledge and expertise of the province's talented arts and culture community.
In 2015-16, government is investing $60 million in British Columbia's artists, arts organizations and cultural institutions, including $24 million to the BC Arts Council.
