The Wildfire Management Branch is responding to a wildfire on the Inklin River, approximately 90 km southeast of the community of Atlin.
No structures or property are threatened at this time. The fire is burning within the boundaries of the Nakina-Inklin Rivers/Yáwu Yaa Conservancy in a sparsely populated area.
A Wildfire Management Branch initial attack crew, one helicopter, and air tankers are currently en route to this fire. Due to weather and fuel conditions in the area, the fire is expected to show increased growth and activity in the coming days.
