Comments are being accepted until Dec. 4, 2015, on the proposed Land Use Objectives Regulation Order for the Nass South Sustainable Resource Management Plan (SRMP) area.
Public feedback on the order will be considered prior to implementing the order. The Nass South SRMP area is approximately 660,000 ha in the southern part of the Nass Timber Supply Area.
The draft land use order addresses many resource values – including First Nations cultural heritage resources, freshwater ecosystems, landscape biodiversity and wildlife habitat, that forest companies must adhere to once the order is established.
