B.C. is promoting the success of its Francophone Affairs Program and discussing ways to grow francophone labour mobility and economic development at the 20th meeting of the ministerial Conference on the Canadian Francophonie in Toronto, Ontario June 17-18.

Parliamentary Secretary for Corrections Laurie Throness, attending on behalf of Agriculture Minister Norm Let‎nick whose responsibilities include francophone affairs, is participating in discussions on how B.C. can work with other governments to advance francophone culture, improve workforce mobility and encourage francophone immigration in order to support the B.C. labour market.  Throness will also participate in discussions on francophone tourism as a driver of economic growth.

It is an honour to promote B.C.’s interests at the Ministerial Conference on the Canadian Francophonie.”
