The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identities of three men who died following a motor vehicle incident near Hudson’s Hope on Dec. 31, 2014.

They were: Ian Leonardis Roelofsen, aged 41, of Coaldale, Alberta; Michael Frank Joseph Savignac, aged 28, of Beaumont, Alberta; and Christopher Johnathon Shepherd, aged 25, of Devon, Alberta.

Mr. Roelofsen was the driver of a pickup truck heading southbound on Farrell Creek Road near Hudson’s Hope at about 11:30 p.m. on Dec. 31, 2014, when the vehicle went off the road. Mr. Savignac and Mr. Shepherd were passengers. All three men were deceased at the scene.

The BC Coroners Service, WorkSafe BC and RCMP Traffic Services continue to investigate these deaths.

The families of the victims have been notified of these deaths. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
