The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who died following a motor vehicle incident in the Victoria suburb of Langford on March 8, 2015.
He was Wesley McKay, aged 68, of Victoria.
Mr. McKay was the driver of a pickup truck that was travelling southbound on Veterans Memorial Parkway near Goldstream Ave. about 4 p.m. on March 8 when it left the roadway and struck three trees. Mr. McKay was immediately transported to Victoria General Hospital, but could not be resuscitated.
The BC Coroners Service and RCMP Traffic Services continue to investigate this death, including the possibility that this was precipitated by a natural disease process.
The family of Mr. McKay has been notified of his death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
