The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who was found deceased following a trailer-home fire in Nelson on March 8, 2015.

He was Ryan Randell Tapp, aged 28, of Nelson.

About 4 a.m. on March 8, 2015, neighbours noticed a fire in a mobile home on Fofonow Road in Nelson and summoned emergency services. After the fire was extinguished, firefighters discovered Mr. Tapp, deceased, in the mobile home.

The BC Coroners Service and RCMP continue to investigate this death.

The family of Mr. Tapp has been notified of his death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
